• Smoking a pipe: Pipes come in all shapes, sizes, and materials. But it’s best to keep it standard for a while. That means a spoon or bubbler that can fit in your hand and is made of glass.
• Smoking a bong: If you want to play things a bit on the safer side, a bong might be the tool for you. Bongs are most common among people who want to minimize the number of potential toxins that can come from smoking blunts. We recommend the standard glass bong with a removable bowl.
• Smoking a joint, blunt, or spliff: If you’re into rolling, then you’re going to need some rolling paper. There’s a lot of tools to make rolling easier, but a rolling tray or machine is essential.

If you’re going to smoke with a pipe, you’re going to want to invest in a grinder. This goes for bongs and joints, too. 

A grinder is a small canister with “teeth” that lets you grind up your flower. This increases the surface area of your bud, meaning that you get a better high. Keep in mind that a grinder should break up your flower, not completely mutilate it.
